Are there other ways to interact with images on the device other than by keyboard or mouse?
Yes, the content creator can incorporate gesture control into their design such as with a gaming controller, or Leap Motion Controller for hand gestures (for example). This will give the user a way to interact with the 3D object.
"Leap Motion" is registered trademark or trademark of Ultraleap Inc.

I want to develop an OpenXR application that can switch between a 2D menu screen that displays a list of content and a content view that displays 3D content on the Spatial Reality Display. How can I achieve this?
The current Spatial Reality Display SDK does not allow developing an OpenXR application that switches between OpenXR and graphics API rendering on the Spatial Reality Display. Therefore, please use one of the following methods to resolve this issue.
(1) Display the 2D menu screen in 3D-space using OpenXR.
(2) Create a dual-screen application. You will need a Spatial Reality Display and another PC monitor. This way, you can render the 3D content on the Spatial Reality Display using OpenXR, while the 2D menu screen is displayed normally on the PC monitor.
In addition, users can also switch between 3D and 2D display mode by pressing the Fn button on the Spatial Reality Display.
