COLOR
This work was inspired by an encounter with a man who works at a design office conducting building inspections. He shared that he spent his days in an environment devoid of color, as most building structures are dominated by neutral tones like gray, white, and brown that blend into their surroundings. He told me, "I began to seek color in the things I saw and started keeping parakeets with bright, vibrant feathers. Before I knew it, I had 20 birds of various kinds within a year." His story was truly unique. This piece reflects my meeting with him and my thoughts on the transformative power of color.
CATCH THE FUTURE
This work is inspired by the idea that new technologies and innovations shape new eras. The drone symbolizes the future, while the Furisode-clad figures moving from room to room represent the passage of time, all facing toward the same bright light. The tatami mats and sliding doors are rendered with clean, straight lines, their colors radiating a golden glow. The hand at the entrance serves as a reminder of our ability to seize the future with our own hands.
