Landscape with junk cars
The first car was a blue car that was near my studio at the time.
The car, which I did not know when or where it came from or who put it there, stood in its place, naturally blending in with the surrounding landscape.
I started to get interested in the car, which changes its expression depending on the season and the weather; so, one day I clicked on the shutter for the first time.
I do not know what attracted me to that junk car, nor what the significance of that photo is.
But that one piece of photography was the catalyst for my fascination with junk cars, and I began to walk around looking for those cars that blend into nature.
Eight years have passed since that day; I have continued to photograph more than 100 cars.
I hope you will experience the charm of these junk cars, which cannot be expressed in words such as nostalgia and melancholy, together with the nature of the Okinawan sea and wind.
