Akira Takano Photo Exhibition Beethoven’s 250th Anniversary Tracing the footsteps of Ludwig van Beethoven

Ladies and Gentlemen, First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to All those who helped me and made this photo exhibition possible. These include the members of Beethoven House of Bonn, The Beethoven Jubilee Society, The Bonn Tourist Office, Historic Highlights of Germany Association and The Vienna Tourist Board.

I would also like to personally offer my deepest gratitude to the following people. Ms.Yvonne Megens of The Historic Highlights of Germany Association, who planed and organized this project, Mr. Katsuji Tani, the renowned author who accompanied me on the press trip, interviewed authorities, interpreted conversations and translated materials concerning The Great Composer. Mr. Kozo Morita, the photographer who helped me greatly with his precious advice making the video for my photo exhibition of 100 monetarized photos projected on the screen with bilingual explanations.

Akira Takano Profile

Mainly active taking personal portraits, travel photos for magazines and business PR publications, and other commercial photos. As a lifelong occupation, continues to illustrate the incessant changes in the character of the Tokyo Metropolitan area through photography. Appeared as a guide for twilight and outdoor walks on NHK programs “Konnichiwa Itto Rokken” and “Bi no Tsubo”. From 2013 to 2019, posted a series of photos on the slopes of Tokyo in the monthly magazine “Chuo Koron” under the title of “Walking the Slopes of Tokyo”. Since 2013, has served as an instructor at the Photo Morishita school of photography. Since 2017, has posted a personal record of Tokyo on Facebook almost on a weekly basis via movies and photos he calls “Tokyo Observations”.
