At Sony, we believe everyone deserves to share in the excitement of our products. That is why we are continuously improving product design to be as accessible as possible.
We aim to make unboxing easy and enjoyable, starting with our audio products.
Designing inclusive products is our goal.
We design our packaging with user experience in mind, ensuring packages are simple and easy to open.
When you open our packaging, you can easily find and remove the device.
Setup instructions are highly visible and tactile so you can find them easily.
Our packaging includes tabs for easy opening.
We are committed to making product information is accessible for all. To help you locate the QR code to access the setup instructions, we have introduced a tactile border around the code, allowing you to find it by touch.
A tactile square frame indicates the QR Code’s location, with four L-shaped embossed corners forming a guide. When you feel this frame, you can locate and scan the QR Code within it.
If the notch and QR code are positioned far apart, a line of raised dots acts as a tactile guide from the notch to the QR code*1.
*1. This feature is not available on all products.
A line of raised dots acts as a tactile guide to the QR code, making it easy to locate with touch alone.
We have also improved the contrast and thickness of our font and illustrations to make graphics clearer and more accessible.
QR Code is a trademark of Denso Wave Inc.
You can easily control and set up products from your smartphone using dedicated apps. Usage information is also available through our online Help Guide manual.
You can use the Sony Sound Connect app or the Sony BRAVIA Connect app to set up and control your sound devices.
If you have any questions or issues, you can reference our online Help Guide. The guide is optimised for web accessibility, ensuring a more comprehensive understanding for all.
Through thoughtful packaging design, we have crafted a seamless, stress-free experience from unboxing to setup and continued use. We are also committed to making our packaging more accessible for all people, regardless of disabilities. Our vision is for this approach to become universal, adopted by companies globally — not just Sony — so that products everywhere are easier to use. We aspire to create a universal standard that enhances usability and accessibility for everyone.
