A This product is a device that presents odor and does not have the capability to perform chemical sensing or analysis of odor components.

A No, battery power is not possible. The device requires a 100V power source.

Q What is the method for disinfection?

A Disinfection is possible using ethanol for disinfection (with no other contents except distilled water). For more details, please refer to Page 24 "After the measurement" in the instruction manual.

Q Is it possible to operate the device without a tablet?

A A dedicated tablet is required to operate the device.

Q Can it be carried around?

A Yes, it is portable. It is easy to carry by holding both sides of the device body with your hands.

Q What is the proper maintenance procedure?

A Remove the used nose guide and dispose of it. Clean the surface of the unit with a disinfectant ethanol (without any impurities, not purified water). The internal cover can also be cleaned if necessary. Please refer to page 24 of the instruction manual, "After the measurement," for more details.

Q Is it possible to transfer the data to a PC through Bluetooth?

A You will need to establish a Bluetooth connection between your PC and tablet. Please refer to the Microsoft support page for specific instructions on how to do so.

Q How do you attach the cartridge?

A Remove the front cover and attach the cartridge. Please refer to the video tutorial.

Q Is it possible to store the cartridges at room temperature? And is it necessary to remove the cartridges after each use?

A It depends on the specifications of the cartridges.
Please contact the sales company for more information. If the cartridges can be stored at room temperature, there is no need to remove them after each use.

Q How should the cartridges be disposed of?

A Please dispose of the cartridges in accordance with the rules of your local municipality. If you have any trouble with disposal, please contact the sales company.

Q Is there a limit on the use period or number of times for the cartridges?

A Yes. Cartridges can only be used within the specified period and number of times range for each cartridge.

Q Can the measurement be operated by one person?

A Yes, it can be operated by one person. It is not intended to be operated by the subject himself/herself.

Q What data saving formats are available?

A Data can be saved in txt, csv, and jpeg formats.

Q Is Wi-Fi or Internet access required?

A A Wi-Fi environment is not necessarily required. The dedicated application is needed to transfer measurement results over Wi-Fi. If you require such an application, please contact the sales company. Please refrain from connecting to the Internet due to security risks.

Q Are measurement results automatically transferred to the electronic medical record?

A There is no automatic transfer function. You must transfer the results yourself.

Q How are the results recorded?

A After the measurement, the results are automatically saved in txt, csv, or jpeg format in a folder on the tablet.

Q How can data be output? Is it possible to output on paper?

A The data is saved in a designated folder on the tablet and can be transferred to your PC via USB connection. You can also transfer data in txt or csv format by displaying the 2D code on the dedicated application and reading it with a verified 2D code reader connected to your PC. Output to thermal paper is also possible by connecting to a designated Bluetooth® mobile printer that has been verified for operation. Q How many types of odorants can be filled in a maximum?

A One cartridge can be filled with up to 40 different odorants.

Q How long does a packed odorant retain its odor?

A It depends on the type of odorant. We cannot give you a specific period of time because it depends on the purpose of your use.

Q What kind of odorants can be packed?

A We assume that general essential oils and fragrances can be used, but Sony does not guarantee the compatibility of the odorants.
The materials of the sub cartridge for odorant infusion are aluminum (anodized treatment), POM, and PET. Please use odorants that do not affect the material.

Q Is there anything else I need other than the product?

A Micro pipettes and other dispensing instruments necessary for injection, and torque wrenches used for cartridge clampers.

Q How is the content executed by the dedicated application recorded? And how can the data be output?

A Data is recorded in CSV format. However, depending on the setting conditions, data may not be recorded.
Data is saved in a designated folder on the tablet and can be transferred to your PC via USB connection.

Q Can used sub cartridges be reused?

A Sub cartridges are consumable items and cannot be reused or refilled. Sony does not warrant any problems that may result from reusing or refilling sub cartridges.

Q Do you provide support for initial setup of the dedicated application and odorants injection?

A We assume that customers are responsible for setting up the dedicated application and injecting odorants themselves, but please consult with the sales company once.

Q Can one person operate the dedicated application while it is running?

A Depending on the settings of the dedicated application, the intended use, and the customer's operation, it is possible for one person to operate it.

Q Can I operate the main unit from a PC?

A The odor dispenser is not a medical device, and anyone can use it. However, depending on the cartridge used at the same time, there may be restrictions. Please contact the sales company for more information.

Q What should I do if there is a malfunction or problem?

A Please try the following steps:

• Save measurement data.
  If you have not saved the measurement result, perform the measurement and save the data. (If you can operate the dedicated app)
• Restart the power of the device
  Turn off the power by pressing the power switch on the right side of the body and then restart the power.
• Restart the dedicated app
  On the home screen of the dedicated tablet, long press the dedicated app icon and tap [App Info] - [Force Stop] - [OK].

If the operation does not improve or if you have any other problems, please consult the sales company.

Q What should I do if I smell something from the odor port even though there is no odor presentation?

A The surrounding odor may have transferred to the device.
Please clean the nose guide/tip cover attachment and cartridge cover with disinfectant alcohol (without any impurities other than purified water).
If the odor is still a concern, please contact the sales company once.
